Interschool Carnivals

What are Interschool Carnivals?

A step up from our monthly Super Swims, is the State Swim Interschool Carnival that is held twice a year. We encourage swimmers to challenge themselves in this friendly team environment, swimming competitively against other State Swim schools. Family members are very welcome and encouraged to dress in the school’s team colour and cheer loudly!

Our Interschool Carnivals are a professional swim meet. The carnivals are a popular and inspiring event for members in State Swim’s 400 Gold level, Team Bronze, Silver and Gold our ‘squad members’.

What Happens at an Interschool Carnival?

Swimmers will experience:

  • Professional race starts with choice of on or off blocks
  • Competing in a 50m Olympic-size pool in front of cheering spectators
  • The energetic team atmosphere – wearing team colours and chanting team names
  • Competing against other swimmers of the same age and gender
  • The post-event ceremony of medals and trophies
